Boosters has a special system to help newcomers quickly adapt to the company.
It's the 'Buddy System', which pairs you with a buddy on your first day. This 'friendly problem solver' will quickly alleviate any awkwardness you may feel in a new environment and answer any work-related questions you may have.
The principle is to select a buddy within the same team. We pair you with a crew member who can quickly assist you in understanding Boosters and your work because they are on the same team as you.
'What are Slack, Asana, Notion..?'
Newcomers or those who are new to startups may not be familiar with using such tools. Additionally, simple questions such as 'How should I explain the reason when I apply for vacation?' are bound to come up. However, at Boosters, we do not require specific reasons when taking vacation.
Adjusting to new environments takes time, and no one is expected to excel immediately. That's why we assign a buddy to help streamline the process. This buddy, being a senior who joined the company earlier, is also a resource for useful tips and insights.
Monthly lunch with a buddy for 3 months
Boosters provide a modest activity fee with the aim of fostering friendships a bit quicker through buddy activities. A monthly activity fee of 50,000 won is provided for three months. There is no restriction on how the activity fee can be used, and many tend to enjoy tasty lunches and desserts. The details of activities with the buddy are casually shared via the internal messaging platform, Slack.
Although the buddy system hasn't been in place for long, it's already garnering a positive response. There are crew members who voluntarily participate in buddy activities.
We recently conducted a survey among new hires who had participated in the Buddy activity, and we were able to confirm that the satisfaction level was very high. The response was that it was good to be able to quickly adapt to company life thanks to the Buddy activity, and to become close with the Buddy.
The Boosters People Team is preparing various programs so that no crew is left out as the number of new hires continues to increase. In addition to the Buddy system, there are various onboarding programs. On the day of joining, we are preparing opportunities to communicate with fellow crews and executives, such as team welcome lunch and CEO welcome meeting.
Boosters will consistently take into account the crew's feedback and work on improving our programs. Please look forward to it!
